DW Smith Associates, LLC Awards Scholarships to Engineering Students

Farmingdale, NJ (May 24, 2013)—Two students pursuing careers in engineering have been awarded the Donald W. Smith Scholarship on behalf of DW Smith Associates, LLC as part of the Ocean County College 46th Annual Awards Ceremony held on May 22, 2013.

Douglas Cascio, who plans to major in Engineering at Drexel University and Ryan Ricciardelli, who plans to major in Computer Software Engineering at Lehigh University, each received a $500 scholarship award for their continuing education.

DW Smith Associates established the Donald W. Smith Scholarship through the Ocean County College Foundation. The scholarship is awarded annually to two students pursuing further education in engineering, surveying, planning, landscape design or environmental services. The scholarship recipients are chosen by the college’s engineering department.

The Ocean County College Foundation is a private, non-profit organization that is dedicated to the growth and development of the college through scholarships, endowments and capital and special projects. The Foundation partners with community leaders in business, industry, education and government in its mission to make higher education accessible to Ocean County College students and prepare them for future endeavors.
