Farmingdale, NJ (September 9, 2010) – Timothy P. Lurie, PE, PP, CME, a Point Pleasant Beach resident and partner at DW Smith Associates, LLC, has been awarded the CME Certificate by the NJ Society of Municipal Engineers (NJSME), a non-profit organization focused on the advancement of Municipal Engineering in NJ. This certificate designates him as a Certified Municipal Engineer and is awarded to licensed professional engineers upon the successful completion of the NJ Municipal Engineering Institute (NJMEI) program. The NJMEI was created by the NJSME in 1987 to address the continuing education needs of professional engineers practicing municipal engineering.

Mr. Lurie received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering in 1990 and his Master’s Degree in Coastal Engineering in 1993, both from Stevens Institute of Technology. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the States of New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, Michigan, Ohio and Virginia as well as a licensed Professional Planner in New Jersey.
