Jennifer N. Nevins
After graduating from Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Science degree, Ms. Nevins joined DW Smith Associates in 1988. She has been an owner since 2001 and established the company as a Woman Business Enterprise (WBE) in 2008. Ms. Nevins handles the overall operations of the firm, including project management, quality control and assurance, client satisfaction and strategic planning. She has always been a strong believer in continuing education, participating in many industry courses throughout her career, including the National Community Associations Institute (CAI) Business Partner Essentials class through which she received her Educated Business Partner Certification. Ms. Nevins also earned her Management for Design Firms Certification from Harvard University Graduate School of Design and Construction Management Certification from New Jersey Institute of Technology. In addition, she received the Executive Leadership Certification from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.
Ms. Nevins serves in an advisory capacity on various industry and women in business related boards, including the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities Supplier Diversity Development Council (SDDC) and the CAI-NJ Chapter Business Partner Committee. She is a dedicated member and active participant in a number of community service associations and charitable organizations. Ms. Nevins is an active member of the Women Presidents Organization (WPO), Executive Women of New Jersey (EWNJ), New Jersey Association of Women Business Owners (NJAWBO), Women in Transportation (WTS), Professional Women in Construction (PWC), Leading Women Entrepreneurs (LWE) and the International Right of Way Association (IRWA). She has also been an advocate for women’s leadership, including advising and mentoring not only businesswomen, but also female students through the Rutgers Institute for Women’s Leadership (IWL) and the Wall High School Business and Finance Academy (WBFA) where she serves as a board member. As a result, Ms. Nevins has been personally recognized by many organizations and has received the following awards:

Ms. Nevins is the working mother of two children and is devoted to both her family and her work. Her most recent undertaking was to author two Italian cookbooks, dedicated to her family that documents original recipes and family history for future generations.
