DW Smith Project Engineer Presents Scholarship on behalf of OCSPE

Farmingdale, NJ (May 2015)—DW Smith Associates Project Engineer Jason Burneyko, PE, who is serving as President of the Ocean County Society of Professional Engineers (OCSPE) for the 2014-2015 term, presented a scholarship award to David Etler at this year’s Ocean County College Awards Ceremony on behalf of the OCSPE. The scholarship is awarded by the OCSPE each year to a student who has displayed outstanding achievement in engineering.

In addition to the OCSPE, DW Smith Associates also partakes in the awards ceremony on an annual basis. This year, $500 scholarships were awarded to Dovid Ribiat and Meyer Raab on behalf of the firm. Each year, the Donald W. Smith Scholarship is awarded to students continuing education in the areas of engineering, surveying, planning, landscape design or environmental services. The scholarship recipients are chosen by the college’s engineering department.

DW Smith Associates established the Donald W. Smith Scholarship through the Ocean County College Foundation, which is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to the growth and development of the college through scholarships, endowments and capital and special projects.
